Toenail fungus treatment

Toenail fungus

No one would refute the fact that being bored with anything is not a pleasant career. When it comes to fungal infections, there is nothing to say. Obviously, there is nothing to say. Treating toenail fungus on the big toe is a long and time-consuming process, but it is still worth doing. The consequences and complications can be several times more serious than the disease itself. The infection will spread to the entire limbs and even the feet, and cause great problems for sports.

Toenail fungus is just an infection, it can also affect other parts of the foot: feet, other toes, etc. According to statistics, about 25% of the world’s population will see a doctor sooner or later because of this infection. And if it hurts too, then this definitely means it's time to treat the fungus on the legs.

Fortunately, there is a cure, and it is not that difficult to cure the fungus permanently. There are many treatments, and if everyone wants to, they can find a treatment that only treats the pathology of his leg.

After consulting with the patient, a dermatologist will prescribe a treatment for fungus on the big toe. This takes into account the individual characteristics of the patient, especially his allergic reaction to any component of the drug. If there is, then it is necessary to prescribe its analogs, not to increase health.

How is this pathology treated?

First, if a fungal infection is suspected, the infected area needs to be removed. Where is she? That's right-on the big toe, or where it hurts. Severe stages of the fungus and the further progress of the disease will also slow down, and the surface of the affected area will be removed. The treatment is prescribed by a specialized dermatologist and no one else.

In order to treat this infection, modern medicine has proposed a variety of drugs, including the nail itself and the finger itself, as well as the entire lower extremity. These are not just pills—in most cases, not even pills—but various creams, ointments, varnishes, etc. for the legs. In order to make the treatment as effective as possible, experts combine these methods to treat toenail fungus.

Treat with folk remedies

What if your thumb is injured and you still don’t have time to consult a dermatologist for consultation? You need at least something to drown the pain, you need temporary means, and traditional medicine can help you solve this problem. Over the centuries, our ancestors have noticed the characteristics of some products, and their years of experience have been used by people today.

What could it be?

  1. Potato skins. After the potatoes are peeled, put the clean potatoes aside and remove the skins. This recipe does not specify how many cleanings you need, so the more the better. They need to be placed in a pan (large capacity), filled with water and cooked until the skin becomes soft. It should be really soft so that you can easily press it in the pot. When the peel reaches this state, the feet and infected toenails will be saturated with the resulting liquid. Therefore, it is important to make the pot bigger. After applying, wash off lumps on toes and feet, rub with lard, and put on warm socks. The lumps have no unpleasant smell and are easy to use on your feet: you need to rub them every day until you are absolutely sure that there is no harm and the infection no longer bothers you.
  2. Water + 70% vinegar solution. As in the previous case, the exact amount of ingredients required to cure fungal toenail infections is not specified, only that the two ingredients are taken in equal amounts. The dough is poured into the finished mixture-of course, you need to be careful so that there is no residue afterwards. Place the dough on the affected nail and seal the surrounding area with tape. The procedure is carried out for three to five days until the nail is completely separated from the finger. If this does not happen, then you are doing it wrong.
  3. Lemon juice is rich in various nutrients and nutrients, and it can also help fight toenail fungus. You need to cut a circle from a lemon, then divide it into two parts and place half on your nails. The compression is fixed, and the lemon juice does its job. This treatment lasts 8 to 10 days, depending on the results obtained.
  4. Poplar bark can be used as a foot bath, and your thumb will thank you. To do this, you need to grind the bark and take 100 grams of this bark to make half a liter. All these are mixed and poured into a small basin where the legs are steamed. After that, you need to prepare the following liquid for processing: 1 teaspoon of crushed soap (preferably for household use) and soda water mix until it forms a slurry. If necessary, it will lubricate the affected nail and the entire finger.
  5. Two cloves of garlic must be chopped to the largest size and then mixed with 100 grams of hot butter. The resulting liquid was infused for one day. It can be applied to nails after water treatment. This method is good because it has been practiced for quite a long time-for a whole month, although regular treatments, the results will appear after 7 days: the failure of the thumbnails will begin to subside. There is no harm, and no new disputes will arise.
  6. Sea salt can also be used for bathing: dissolve it in one liter of hot boiling water and steam it. If necessary, increase the salt concentration by calculating one tablespoon per liter of hot water. The most important thing is not to overcalculate and to be as accurate as possible in the calculation. This kind of bath is carried out for two weeks, after which the results will be visible and the fungus will begin to subside.
  7. Mountain ash can only be found at certain times of the year (summer), but at the same time it is very important for the thumb, and the nail of the thumb is infected. For treatment, rowan leaves are crushed to form a gruel, which should be applied to the nails affected by the fungus. After ten days, you can stop this procedure.
  8. Some flowers that grow outdoors have a very rich layer of nutrients and minerals, which are given to them by nature. These are flowers such as chamomile and rope, which can be harvested to support healing. Violet is considered to be a houseplant, and it is also an herb that can be used to treat toenail fungus. Mix the broken flowers together and pour one liter of boiling water. The liquid is injected for two hours and filtered. You can dip a piece of gauze into the tincture and compress it with it, and it must be replaced every time the fabric dries.

Toenail fungus can be treated with the help of traditional medicine, but it is best to consult a doctor. If the concentration is wrong, the fluid that is supposed to treat the disease will aggravate the problem. Therefore, it is very important to register with a licensed dermatologist. If you are willing, you can consult him on the method of treating nails with folk remedies. Experts will determine how useful they are in your case and draw reasonable conclusions.

prevention

The fungus on the big toe has an unpleasant feature that is inherent to every type of fungus on any part of the leg: it has the property of returning. Therefore, it is very important to choose the right precautions and make every effort to reduce the risk of returns. Even intensive and comprehensive treatment cannot guarantee complete and safe prevention of fungal toenail infections.

First, when the patient is healed, the shoes need to be disinfected. This will help remove any spores that may remain there during the infection process and may independently cause foot fungus in the future.

It is very important to keep the feet in an atmosphere conducive to their healing. For example, keep them warm and try to avoid densely populated places where the infection may spread, such as swimming pools, gyms, and other places where skin infections spread and sweat a lot, mainly the legs. This fungus spreads easily, and those who have been infected with it are more likely to get it than others. Therefore, in order to prevent the treatment from being in vain, we must do everything possible.
